Photography for me is a hobby that I have been engaged in since I was 13. The pictures on this site consist of 45 years of travel. Travel photography for me has changed quite a lot due to technology. In my early years I shot using film cameras. I usually always shot using Kodachrome 64 slide film. I usually did not see my results until 2-3 weeks after I arrived home. Some shots that I thought would be great turned out poor and others the exact opposite. After my trip to Portugal in 2004, the high cost of film and processing made me decide to move to digital. Shooting digital gives you instant results, taking a lot of the guess-work out of things. In addition, with the use of computer software I can now expand my shooting possibilities by including panoramas and HDR images. The equipment I used to take these pictures include: Olympus OM-1, Nikon F3hp, Leica M3, Nikon D200, Nikon D7100, Fujifilm XT-20 and an Apple Iphone 4/OnePlus 1. One person that deserves a lot of the credit for these pictures is my wife Audrey. The poor girl has been very patient during these photo trips.
